This is a demonstration of the HTML pages which are optionally generated by Gproxy. Any Host Links related network event detected by Gproxy will result in an updated page of information. In order for you to see these updates, the WEB page is refreshed whenever a change is observed in the HTML files. If you don't see any new information, it can simply be because nothing has happened or that Gproxy has been taken down for maintenance or other reasons. Please contact us if you have questions about this.

Generated HTML reports

Gproxy analyses network events reported as 'administrative records' by the Host Links products and formats the information for display on a user screen or writes it to a file in HTML format for access from web browsers. Additionally Gproxy optionally writes the network events to a log and reports them to one or more SNMP mangers. Gproxy users can choose among several report types and you can see an example of each of them here. If you don't already know Glink and Host Links you might need some information about the data presented to you. In that case, you can have a closer look A closer look at the details of each of the reports below.

Show it to me! Demonstration of SYSTEM report
The 'system report' is always generated if HTML report generation is enabled (i.e. by the -PT HTML Gproxy parameter). This report is a collection of important information which one would otherwise have to look up on several other reports. The report is updated every 'check interval' second (default to 10 seconds). Show it to me! Demonstration of LICENSE server report
In License mode, Gproxy displays the usage and status of the Host Links license servers. The report contains the current usage of backed up license entries and the license limitations of each system. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of Ggate load report
In Ggate load mode every gateway known to Gproxy (i.e. configured to send statistical information) is shown with information about its current load, address and 'uptime'. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of Glinkj server load report
In Glinkj serevr load mode every gateway known to Gproxy (i.e. configured to send statistical information) is shown with information about its current load, address and 'uptime'. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of Gweb server load report
In GwebS mode Gproxy displays the load information which is broadcasted by Gweb servers. This is the load information which is used by Gproxy when redirecting a user on a browser to the Gweb server with the lightest load. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of DETAIL report
In detail mode every Host Links network event reported to Gproxy will result in a page of information. The event type and the most important fields from the received administrative record are shown. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of SUMMARY report
In summary mode key information extracted from the network event is presented using a single line of screen output. The 16 most recent events are shown. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of MIB report
In MIB mode the content of the SNMP 'trap' record is shown. Each field is prefixed by its SNMP 'object ID' and 'object name' as well as its value. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of HEX dump
In HEX mode the UDP record is simply dumped out as received by Gproxy, 16 characters to a line in hexadecimal and ASCII display format. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of Ggate monitor
In gateway mode Gproxy monitors the usage of a specific gateway only i.e. events originated from other Host Links products in the network will not be reported. The gateway can be a G&R/Ggate process executing on some Host Links system or a G&R/GWDNTD gateway. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of Glinkj server monitor
In GlinkJ server mode Gproxy monitors the usage of a specific Glinkj server. Load counters are maintained and data about each existing GlinkJ client is collected and displayed. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of USER report
In user mode Gproxy maintains a table of every network user (seen as a unique network address) who has been running a Host Links program. The total number of users and sessions is shown as well as the actual user addresses and session numbers. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of SESSION report
In session mode Gproxy maintains a table of all sessions. Each time a connection is captured, the pid, gateway address and uid (if present) is saved. If IO counts are broadcasted by the line module (regulated by parameter), then these counts are updated and the Gproxy user is able to monitor the load of each user session. A closer look

Show it to me! Demonstration of ROUTE report
In route mode Gproxy will supervise the state and usage of all configured TS (Transport Station) routes in the system. Each time a connection is made the update count of the TS route used is increased. In a backup route configuration an unsuccessful connection attempt can put the TS route in question in a disabled state. Such state changes are detected by Gproxy and reported on the screen.
